
For the third consecutive year, Union Baptist Church is all set to host the third Global Leadership Summit (GLS) at Kohima from October 7 to 8. So far, 180 delegates from different professions have already registered for the summit and many more have been expected to join soon.
Briefing media persons, this afternoon at UBC, Kohima, convenor organizing committee GLS Rev. Dr. Rachülie Vihienuo informed GLS aims to help leader’s lead well, at leveraging the influence and effectiveness of those who lead others.
He said to accomplish the summit, GLS carefully assemble the faculty of top leadership experts across the variety of backgrounds like church, business, non-profit, academic and government because of the strong conviction that leaders could learn from anyone.
Vihienuo also informed that the Summit also intended to intentionally engage not just the leader’s mind, but also their heart so that whoever attended GLS does not leave without being inspired.
He said this was one opportunity where leaders from the state could learn the incredible insights, get high challenging ideas and fresh perspective on leadership from these leaders.
All the speakers would be presented Via Video-Cast on a giant screen and therefore the experience would be very real, Vihienuo added, as Summits held via video-cast was much more impactful then the live Summit in the USA.
The Summit Team extended invitation to all people from different professions to fuel the passion and sharpen the leadership skills and help the organizations be it government, business, or church to thrive.
The summit would begin on October 7 from 9 a.m to 5 p.m at Union Baptist Church, Kohima while the registration fees would be for early bird (August 1-31) Rs. 300; Regular (September 1-30) Rs.350 and starting October conference (October 1-8) the fees would be Rs.600.
Host of prominent leaders from across the globe including Bill Hybels, the founder and senior pastor Willow Creek Community Church, Melinda Gates the co-chair, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Alan Mulally president and CEO, The Ford Motor Company (2006-2014), Bishop T.D Jakes, founder and senior pastor, The Potter’s House, Patrick Lencioni bestselling author and founder of the Table group, Denielle Strickland officer in the Salvation Army, advocate and author, Jossy Chacko founder and president Empart Inc and John C. GLS organizers include members from various churches like pastor Jonathan Mesen UBC, pastor Visato Yhoshu UBC, Merebeni Zares from Lotha Baptist Church and pastor Kedo Peseyie from Kohima City Church.
