Unity College of Teacher Education (UCTE), Dimapur in collaboration with Carl Rogers Institute of Mental Health and School Counselling (CRIMHSC) organised ‘Health and Wellness’ awareness on February 16.
A press release issued by Principal UCTE, Dr. Akala Longkumer stated that counsellor – St. Joseph’s College Jakhama, Rev. Fr. C. Joseph and Kezhazolie Cornelius Mere from CRIMHSC deliberated on the topic “Be Gentle with Your Minds”.
The presentation detailed out various mind-locks that traps individuals in different types of bondages preventing people from leading flourishing lives. Student-teachers were also enlightened on the secret formula to overcome anxiety and adverse effects of poor mental health.
The resource persons also exhorted Student-Teachers to live life in all its fullness with attitude change as children particularly in Nagaland are born with skills to lead successful lives but some go wayward due to unhealthy habits.
