Correspondent

A delegation of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) led by chief minister Neiphiu Rio is scheduled to meet with Assam chief minister and NEDA convenor, Himanta Biswa Sarma at Guwahati on September 6.
Sources informed that Rio will be accompanied by deputy CM Y. Patton (BJP), UDA chairman T.R. Zeliang and UDA co-chairman Kuzholuzo (Azo) Neinu (NPF).
Highly placed UDA sources informed Nagaland Post that the delegation’s mission was an attempt to give a last push for securing solution to the Naga political issue before 2023 state general election. After meeting Sarma, the delegation will fly to Delhi from Guwahati to meet Union Home minister Amit Shah and possibly Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Besides the leaders of UDA, the delegation also includes some legislators from NDPP, BJP and NPF.
