Udyam Samagam programmes held in Wokha, Dimapur

District Industries Centre (DIC), Wokha in collaboration with ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprise (MSME)-DI Dimapur & Imphal and department of Industries & Commerce organized an essay writing and traditional arts competition (handicrafts products) at town hall, Wokha on March 3, with ADC, Wokha K.Mhathung Tsanglao as the special guest.

According to DIPR report, ADC while addressing during the inaugural function called upon the students to give interest in taking part in such activities when the government was trying to promote and encourage the students as well as the entrepreneurs. While urging the students to preserve customary practices, he also added that one should give importance to mother tongue to keep the tradition alive.

Around 40 students from different schools under Wokha district took part in the competition. Prizes for the winners of various categories will be declared and given during the culmination of the programme scheduled to be held at the end of March.

The essay competition was held on the theme “entrepreneurship scope and challenges in my district”. Earlier, function was chaired by Economic investigator, DIC, Wokha Mhachan N. Kikon, while general manager, DIC, Wokha, Nchumbemo Patton delivered the welcome address.

UBRC Dimapur: Meanwhile in Dimapur, essay and art competition for classes IX to XII was held under Udyam Samaagam at UBRC, Kuda Nagarjan Dimapur on March 2. According to DIPR report, the DEO Dimapur, Amongla Jamir graced the occasion.
