In view of the need for simplification of enrolment for Aadhaar and its usage, Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), Regional Office (RO) Guwahati conducted first district level Aadhaar Monitoring Committee (AMC) meeting on November 28 at Kohima.
A press release by UIDAI RO Guwahati stated that senior officials from district administration and representatives from UIDAI, RO Guwahati deliberated on various issues regarding Aadhaar. Some of the points discussed during the meeting included Aadhaar saturation in all age groups and mandatory biometric update of children, document update campaign, strengthening of Aadhaar enrolment ecosystem, establishment of district/sub-district/block level Aadhaar SevaKendra’s by UIDAI, usage of Aadhaar in various schemes and related issue, implementation of Aadhaar Linked Birth Registration (ALBR), monitoring of fraudulent activities related to Aadhaar, digital life certificate to pensioners through face authentication, etc. The release informed that the DC Kohima chaired the meeting, while all officials carried out detailed interaction with UIDAI officers.
