UJLA scheme, Phek was launched at Phek on November 28 by Phek DC, Murohu Chotso. According to DIPR report, DC mentioned on the importance of using florescent bulbs as it consumed less power than others.
He thanked the neighboring villages for their cooperation in this venture where Lozaphuhu and Phek Basa villages were declared the first villages with LED Bulbs.
Village council chairman from Lozaphuhu and Phek Basa also spoke on the occasion where they thanked the government for launching the programme.
Distribution ceremony of LED bulbs was done by Phek DC where hundreds of bulbs were given away to the village leaders.
