Unidentified body found near railway track in Dimapur

An unidentified body of a non-Naga male, estimated to be between 35–40 years of age, was found dead between FOB-1 and the flyover bridge on the Khatkhati side on July 28.
According to the PRO/Deputy Commissioner of Police, Dimapur, the deceased is suspected to have been run over by a train. The body was discovered with the head detached from the neck—found outside the track while the body lay inside. Police conducted an inquest and ruled out foul play. After completing all legal formalities, the body was shifted to the District Hospital Dimapur morgue for post-mortem examination and identification.
