Unidentified body recovered

Dimapur Police recovered an unidentified body of a male (non- Naga) at Super Market on October 10.
According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) and PRO Dimapur, on receiving information East PS duty party rushed to the site and found an unidentified person, age around 60-65 years lying in a market shed near a butcher shop, Super Market.

The witnesses present in and around the place of occurrence, stated that the deceased was a homeless person and often sleep in the area where he was found dead. The cause of dead was suspected to be due to starvation and dehydration.

On completion of all legal formalities, the body has been shifted to District Hospital morgue for post-mortem examination. The deceased was wearing a grey half pant and printed cream and black shade colour half shirt. Claimant/relatives/friends of the deceased have been requested to contact the Officer-in-Charge, East Police Station, Dimapur. ( 7085055020)
