Unidentified body recovered from Khuochiezhü, Kohima

DIMAPUR: Kohima police have sought public assistance in identifying a deceased individual whose body was found hanging from a tree at Khuochiezhü, below Forest Colony, Kohima, on Tuesday morning.
According to PRO of Kohima police, a telephonic report was received at around 10:38 a.m. regarding the sighting of a body. A team from South Police Station, led by the Officer-in-Charge, rushed to the location and found the body of an unidentified non-local male, aged approximately 35–40 years, hanging from a tree branch about 15 feet above the ground.
The deceased, of fair complexion and about 5.7 feet in height, was wearing a red jacket, black T-shirt and black shorts. After completion of legal formalities, the body has been kept at the South Police Station morgue for identification.
Relatives, friends or claimants of the deceased have been requested to contact the Officer-in-Charge, South Police Station, Kohima, at 6009308089.
