Unidentified body recovered in Medziphema

DIMAPUR: Police recovered an unidentified male dead body, non-Naga, from an abandoned house at Medziphema Ward 1 on July 20 around 12:30 p.m.
According to a press note issued by the Commissioner of Police, Dimapur, verbal information was received about the body, suspected to be that of a non Naga male aged approximately 45–50 years. Police personnel conducted an inquest and preliminary findings suggested the cause of death was likely due to illness and starvation.
The body has been shifted to District Hospital Dimapur morgue for post mortem examination and identification.
