Home commissioner, Abhijit Sinha handed out uniforms to the peons and Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) of the Nagaland Civil Secretariat in a special programme organised by the Home Department’s SAB Branch at the Home Commissioner’s office chamber, Wednesday.
According to a DIPR report, during the event, Sinha emphasised the importance of uniforms for the secretariat’s peons and MTS staff, stating that it would promote better discipline and instil a greater sense of duty and responsibility among them. He said MTS personnel working in the secretariat were expected to wear them while performing their office duties. He informed that the uniforms were provided free of cost.
Section Officer from the Home Department’s SAB Branch, Asela Sangtam expressed hope that the introduction of uniforms would lead to a stronger sense of responsibility among the office peons.
Grade IV Association, vice president, Yangtrali Sangtam, expressed gratitude to the home department for providing the uniforms. He emphasized that the uniforms would facilitate the easy identification of working staff within the secretariat.
