Union Minister of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Radha Mohan Singh, would lay the foundation stone for the Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry (V&AH) college on August 6, 2016 at the Basketball ground, Farmers’ Training School, Jalukie as the chief guest. According to an official bulletin, chief minister, T.R. Zeliang, would deliver the keynote address while commissioner & secretary AH&VS, M.K. Mero, would propose vote of thanks. Meanwhile, on August 7, 2016, the minister would visit ICAR-National Research Centre (NRC) on Mithun, Medziphema, where he would lay the foundation stone of farmers hostel-cum-guest house and also unveil Mithun statue.
