Unity College cultural day

Unity College held its 3rd Annual Cultural Day under the theme “In Tune with Our Roots,” on December 14.

A press release issued by the college stated that the event involved students and staff coming together to share food and performances from many of the ethnic groups of Unity College. 

The program was hosted by Nouneno Viswensto and Hotingla. The events of the day-long program included folk songs, folk dances, drama and an Indian cultural fusion dance.

According to the press release, the cultural day is held to celebrate the broad cultural diversity of the college. With a variety of delicious traditional food from different tribes and incredible performances prepared by various departments of the college, it was a lively day for the hundreds of students, staff, alumni and friends who attended the program. 

The program concluded with a show of indigenous games and a  traditional feast.
