DIMAPUR: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between Unity College and Assam Kaziranga University on July 1 at the Conference Hall of Unity College. As per the MoU, both parties will undertake to promote and develop academic cooperation such as faculties and students exchange, Faculty Development Program, and research collaboration for a period of two years.
The signing program was chaired by Dr. Adani Ngullie, Asst. professor & Coordinator IQAC, Unity College. Welcomed address was delivered by Dr. Lichumo Enie, principal Unity College. He welcomed the gathering on behalf of the College and expressed gratitude to everyone for their dedication and efforts in the finalization on MoU.
He further acknowledged the Assam Kaziranga University for the initiative taken to come up with the MoU. Abhijeet Bharadwaj, Manager, Kaziranga University addressed the gathering, and informed that they have already signed three MoU in Nagaland i.e. Tetso College, Dimapur; Science College, Kohima; and thirdly, Unity College, Dimapur.
Director and Chief Marketing Officer of Kaziranga University, Bobby Roy, highlighted that the University has a thriving placement cell that tie up with various MNC and other agencies for campus recruitment not just to the students but also to the youth from outside other campus.
He said that this milestone will enable both the institution to exchange faculty and student exchange and allow even the Unity College students to participate in the Pool Campus recruitment drive hosted by the Kaziranga University from time to time.
Vote of thanks was given by Dr. Kikruneino sachu, Assistant Professor and IQAC member and the programme was attended by HODs, IQAC members and faculties of all the departments.
