
In addition to the state-wide ‘Unlock 5’ guidelines issued by staet chief secretary, deputy commissioner (DC) Dimapur Rajesh Soundararajan has notified that existing lockdown measures would continue to remain in force in Dimapur district with the additional relaxations with effect from August 19, 2021 to September 2, 2021.
In an order, DC Dimapur stated that shops and business establishments dealing with essential goods and commodities such as vegetable, fish/meat vendors, milk booths, bakeries, local grocery stores, public utility services like LPG and E- commerce services etc would remain open on all the days from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
However, all other shops/business establishments dealing with all kinds of goods/items/ articles and also all shops located in New Market, Hongkong Market and Hazi Park have been permitted to open from 6a.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
DC also informed that duration of the night curfew would continue to be enforced from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. DC cautioned that any person violating the order would be penalized as per the provisions of Sec. 51 to 60 of the Disaster Management Act 2005 besides legal action under Sec.188 of the IPC.
It may be mentioned that the respective District Task Forces (DTFs) have been authorized to impose stricter measures or rolling back certain relaxations in specified areas in the district, if an exceptional situation arises.
Odd-even system to continue
Commissioner of Police, Dimapur Rothihu Tetseo has ordered that essential movement of all vehicles within Dimapur district would continue to ply in Odd-Even system from August 19 till September 2, 2021.
In an order, CP Dimapur Rothihu Tetseo informed that vehicles in exempted category would be exempted from the purview of odd-even system. All officers and staff in the exempted category have been advised to carry identity card issued by respective HoD.
