The UNPG NNC (PB) Yimkhiung region led by region president M. Akhum convened an emergency general meeting at Shamator district on September 7, attended by all civil and military set up wherein a unanimous decision was arrived at in support to the leadership of the president UNPG NNC (PB) S. Kiviho Zhimomi and Ato Kilonser Toshi Walling. In a press release, UNPG NNC (PB) Yimkhiung region stated that the region’s president condemned the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed by Z. Royim and termed it as “unbecoming” of a veteran leader.
The region’s president also reiterated that Ato Kilonser of the UNPG NNC (PB) Toshi Walling is the co-convenor of the NNPGs and has appended his signature to the historic “Agreed Position” with Government of India, as such there is no question of travelling back in time for new negotiations with GoI.
