The final rounds of the Senior Men’s Inter-District One Day Tournament 2024 witnessed gripping matches, while the Boys U-16 Inter-District Tournament 2024 showcased youthful talent and competitive spirit.
In the Senior Men’s Inter-District One Day Tournament 2024 final round, Wokha beat Longleng by 7 wickets in a thrilling encounter with W. Thechamo Odyuo delivering a stellar performance, claiming 6 wickets for just 11 runs. Longleng posted a total of 88 runs for 10 wickets, with E ShingPang top-scoring with 30 runs. However, Wokha chased down the target comfortably, scoring 89 runs for 3 wickets in just 14.4 overs.


In the other final round match, Mokokchung secured a victory over Mon by 4 wickets. Nihal Rai’s outstanding performance, scoring 70 runs and claiming 2 wickets for 26 runs, earned him the “Player of the Match” title. Mon posted a total of 182 runs for 10 wickets, with Santosh Kumar top-scoring with 48 runs. However, Mokokchung successfully chased down the target, scoring 188 runs for 6 wickets in 34.2 overs.
Meanwhile, in the Boys U-16 inter-district tournament 2024 at Jakhama local ground, Kohima beat Dimapur by 104 runs in a thrilling encounter.


After winning the toss in both innings, Kohima showcased their dominance on the field. In the first innings, Kohima set a score of 143/10 with Dimapur trailing closely at 105/10 at first innings.
The second innings saw Kohima’s batting prowess shine again as they secured a formidable 197 runs and set a target of 235 runs. Despite Dimapur’s valiant effort in their second innings with 131 runs, Kohima took the lead and proved insurmountable, resulting in a resounding victory by 104 runs.
In a match between Niuland and Peren, Niuland dominates Peren in the clash at St. Xavier College Ground, Jalukie. After winning the toss, Niuland sets the pace with a formidable 131/10 in the 1st innings, leaving Peren in first inning trailing fall out on 48/10.
Niuland in the second inning scored 88/10 adding a target of 171 for Peren. Peren failed to chase the target, where they were bowled out 76/10. Niuland’s strong performance secured victory by 95 runs, showcasing their prowess on the cricket field.
