United Sangtam Students’ Conference (USSC) in coordination with the Zisaji Presidency College (ZPC) Kiphire on Sunday announced that new students for the year 2021 at Zisaji Presideny College Kiphire, whose parents are financially affected by the pandemic, will be provided financial assistant for admission at ZPC.
In a circular, USSC vice president Sethrongba Y Sangtam and general secretary Lumpili Sangtam stated that the constant imposition of lockdown has adversely affected economic stability particularly to daily wage earner. In this regard, the union stated that any students facing financial crisis to take admission will be given “free admission” at ZPC Kiphire for the current year. Meanwhile, the USSC on July 27 wrote a letter to Deputy Commission and chairman District Task Kiphirefor financial assist in ferrying students to Kohima and Dimapur stuck in Kiphire due to the lockdown.
In this connection, District Task force Kiphire has contributed Rs. 20,500.
