United Sangtam Students’ Conference (USSC), with regard to the news report ‘Landslides continue to hit Zunheboto district’, expressed surprise and clarified that no town by the name Yezutu exist under Kiphire district.
In a separate press release, USCC executive chairman, Justin Khatomong T. and former general secretary T.V. Litsaba refuted the report and stated that the only township from Aghunato sub-division to Kiphire district was Seyochung town (ADC Hq).
Meanwhile, USSC has appealed to the both the district administrations– Zunheboto and Kiphire to immediately act and provide relief to those affected by the landslides.
Zunheboto Correspondent: Apropos the news report ‘Landslides continue to hit Zunheboto district’, it is to be clarified that the Yezutu is not a town under Kiphire district as reported. The inadvertent error is regretted.
