USSC revokes non-cooperation on GPRN/NSCN

United Sangtam Students Conference (USSC) at its meeting on October 26, 2015 has revoked non-cooperation against GPRN/NSCN, which was declared on October 31, 2014. 
In a press release, USSC president T. Pithrongse Anri and general secretary Achum Thonger stated that the union withdrew its non-cooperation on the request from United Sangtam Region (USR), GPRN/NSCN to foster the spirit of brotherhood and for the larger interest of the community in spreading the message of peace and unity.
United Sangtam Students Conference  stated that non-cooperation was declared on the failure to comply with its notification dated October 10, 2014, consequent upon the incident where one “maj” Shikato of GPRN physically assaulted and attempted murder on Benny Thomas, headmaster of Saramati High School, Kiphire on October 10, 2014.
Regional authorities and kilonsers of USR, GPRN/NSCN held a meeting on September 20, 2015 and made an appeal to USSC to consider revocation of non-cooperation.
