USSC visits schools in Kiphire

United Sangtam Students’ Conference (USSC) paid surprise visits to government schools here, at Kiphire town on Wednesday. During its course of visitation USSC vice president, Sethrongba Y Yingbithongrü exhorted the students to give their best in their studies.

He said that many leaders in the state were from government school and appealed to the teachers to put priority on teaching and to be regular in their duty. Sethrongba also said that teaching was a method of sowing seeds of education and therefore urged them to devote their time and to teach with sincerity.

The conference also lamented that four teachers were found absent at GMS PHED Kiphire town and warned that further course of action would be initiated against irregular teachers. 

USSC acknowledged the efforts of teachers at GMS Longya ward Kiphire for coming out with best results in the board exams. The conference also expressed satisfaction with the efforts given from the teachers who had organised various activities in the school despite being located in far away without proper footsteps and other facilities. Meanwhile, USSC said that surprise checking in schools would be initiated in the district any time. The conference directed the teachers to be regular and warned that action would be initiated against irregular teachers.
