Z. Thele, Deputy Commissioner Phek visited Ketsapo village and conducted a meeting with the villagers on August 16. Speaking on the occasion, he said that the responsibility of Village Council is to determine right decisions to the people in the village and called upon them to maintain justice and truthfulness and to treat everyone equally.
The DC also opined that one needs to maintain good attitude in order to enhance their approach, which would ultimately lead the generation to greater height of excellence. He said that many development activities are taking place for the development of the villages and schools under VDB and SSA schemes and called upon the village leaders to utilize funds judiciously. Stating that the need of the hour today is quality education, the DC asked the students to equip themselves with more knowledge to be ready to face the competitive world, adding that obtaining a mere degree will not achieve the desired goal. He said that education is the core weapon to survive in the modern world and that ‘one need healthy competition’.
Earlier, the DC and his subordinate officers viewed the disputed area between Khuzami village and Metsalemi village, which is being claimed by both. He was accompanied by SDO(C) II Phek, Chubawati Chang; SDPO, Phek Joseph Tikhir, PA to DC, Phek Khuvota and a host of DBs. The meeting was chaired by Village Council Chairman, Vechineyi Khesoh.
