UTNA Kohima unit supports UTNA Nagaland

Unemployed Trained Nurse Association (UTNA) Kohima Unit has extended support to the demand made by UTNA Nagaland to revoke the re-amendment of nursing services rules, 2014 and for post creation, promotions and up-gradation of nursing post in the district hospital/CHC/ PHC and other health unit.
In a press release UTNA, Kohima unit president Metseiknono and general secretary Mhiesino expressed displeasure to the government over the recent re-amendment of nursing service rules which stated that 50% of service entry will be from competition through NPSC and the other half by direct appointment through batch wise merit list.
The union further stated that it was totally against the interest of the unemployed trained nurse as most of them has already become over age which made them unfit for competitive exams. UTNA, Kohima unit also said that the department policy to grant nursing training without creation of posts resulted in the increase of unemployed nurses and asked the government to stop recruiting individuals into the nursing profession until the demands of UNTA, Nagaland was fulfilled.
