The Singrijan village council, Khopanala village council and Dimapur District Gorkha Indigenous Forum (DDGIF) have strongly condemned the physical assault on its members on the night of February 25 my unidentified youths.
Singrijan and Khopanala VCs: In a joint condemnation note, Singrijan village council chairman, Dik Bdr. Chetri and Khopanala village council chairman, Bhawan Singh Raj have stated that on the night of February 25 at around 9 pm, unidentified youth numbering around 30 forcefully entered the residence of Shanti Pradhan at Singrijan village and physically assaulted her and her husband Ajay Pradhan without any rhyme and reason. The councils said that Shanti Pradhan was seriously injured and the miscreants also destroyed the household items and took away two mobile phones belonging to the victims.
While condemning the barbaric act of miscreants, the two village councils have appealed the district administration and law enforcing agency to book the perpetrators at the earliest to deliver the justice to the innocent victims.
DDGIF: Dimapur District Gorkha Indigenous Forum (DDGIF) has vehemently condemned the physical assault on Shanti Pradhan and her husband, permanent resident of Singrijan village of Chumoukedima district.
In a press release, DDGIF co-convener, Devendra Rana and secretary, Deepak Chettri have urged the law enforcing agency to nab the culprits at the earliest and booked under relevant sections of Indian Penal code.
