
Departments of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (DoEF&CC) and Soil and Water Conservation organised farewell programme for retiring officers in their respective offices on October 31.
DoEF&CC: Department of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (DoEF&CC) held a farewell function on the retirement of Rajat Subhra Pal, principal chief conservator of Forest & head of Forest Force on October 31.
A press release from conservator of Forests (publicity and training) Temjenyabang stated that, the retiring officer in his farewell speech recalled the time when he first joined the state in 1989. He stated that he takes back with him cherished memories of the state and that one of the strengths that he has observed in Nagaland is how people resolve conflicts. He also stated that the informal setting in the government system of the state also leads to better communication between seniors and subordinate officers thereby leading to better coordination. Principal and head of Forest Force designate, Lhoubeilatuo Kire, also spoke on the occasion and recalled the probationary period spent with Rajat Subhra Pal. He stated that in the short period Rajat Pal was the head of Forest Force and helped streamline the administrative system in the department thereby smoothing his transition as the next head of Forest Force. He congratulated the retiring officer on the completion of a long and successful career.
Rajat Subhra Pal, an Indian Forest Service officer of the 1986 batch served the state with distinction for 33 years and 2 months. The officer was lauded for the meritorious service rendered to the department and the state by all the speakers in the function.
DS&WC: Department of Soil and Water Conservation (DS&WC) organised a farewell programme for retiring officers Dr. Kiyasetuo Vizo, project director & S. Chubalila, superintendent at the directorate conference hall on October 31.
A press release from DS&WC stated that, Dr. Vizo in his farewell address recalled joining the department as a young officer and his journey to the present day. He attributed his successful career to the sacrifices of his wife, who gave up her prospective career for the family. He also lauded the enthusiasm of young & dynamic officers who are ever willing to learn and become an expert in their field and hinted the better days for the department. S. Chubalila said that everyone must work together for progress of the department. She further stressed that one must experience failures in life so that they learn and improvise in later walks of life.
Director congratulated and thanked the retiring officers for the services rendered for the department. Programme was chaired by S. K. Hekshe, joint director and vote of thanks was delivered by K. Zhekheto Awomi, addl. director.
