Along with the government’s vision to raise awareness about male sterilisation and to promote the participation of men in family planning, District Health Society (DHS) Mon launched “Vasectomy Fortnight 2021” on November 21.

The fortnight would be divided into two parts such as mobilisation phase from and service delivery phase.

While conducting the meeting, district programme manager, Moie Bonnie Konyak appealed to all the block programme managers (BPMs) and Asha coordinators to take active part in mobilising the people. She said that that vasectomy was essential in order to ensure proper health of the mother and child and also highlighted the advantages and benefits of the service.

The meeting was attended by district programme manager, district media officer, block programme managers and Asha coordinators of all the blocks.
