Power department has informed that vegetation clearance of 132kV & 33kV transmission lines under Kohima transmission division would be carried out from October 6 to November 15, 2025.
In a press release, transmission division Kohima executive engineer Namheu Khate Zelaing informed that the exercise was being carried out to avoid unwanted disruption and facilitate stable power supply. In this regard, the department informed that there would be total shutdown of power in some areas from 9am to 4pm daily to facilitate smooth execution of the activity.
All consumers and public in the affected areas have been requested to extend cooperation and bear the inconvenience during the shutdown period.
As per the shutdown schedule, Sanis, Bhandari, Baghty & Merapani areas would be affected on Oct 17 & 18; Zhadima area under Kohima from Oct 31-Nov 3; Northern Angami Area under Kohima & Pughoboto area on Oct 6; Chiephobozou Area under Kohima on Oct 8; Zhadima Area under Kohima & Tsosunyu on Oct 9 & 10; Zhadima Area from Oct 11-15; NU Meriema area on Oct 16; Southern Angami area on Oct 20; Southern Angami area & Chozouba areas on Oct 21 & 22; Lalmati area & Zubza areas and Duilumroi SHP from Oct 23-25 and Lalmati area & Zubza areas on Oct 27 & 28.
