Vendors in Dmu asked to cooperate with guidelines

Deputy commissioner Dimapur, Anoop Khinchi paid a surprise visit to Super Market Dimapur on Tuesday, to oversee whether the vegetable vendors and the public were following the laid down guidelines for containing COVID-19 pandemic, which is mandatory.

According to DIPR report, DC encouraged the vegetable vendors for maintaining social distancing between them, to wear mask and to maintain hand hygiene. 

Anoop warned that he would have no option but to close down the market if the vendors and shoppers do not cooperate as it pertained to public health and safety. 

Meanwhile, GBs union Dimapur (Sadar) assured that they would personally monitor for ensuring that all laid down guidelines were followed by the vendors and shoppers. 

The GBs Union Dimapur were seen putting the markings at the Super Market Dimapur, Tuesday evening to ensure that vendors maintain the required distance between them. DC was accompanied by SDO (C) Sadar, Zuben Ngullie, representative from DMC, GBs Union Dimapur Sadar while DPRO announcement team made necessary announcement in the background.
