Taking cognisance of a video that went viral on social media, showing poor quality shoes issued to policemen, deputy CM and minister in-charge of Home Y Patton Sunday asked DGP to verify and take appropriate measures.
In a post on ‘X’Patton said, “Concerned by the video circulating that suggests poor quality shoes have been provided to Nagaland Police personnel. Urging @DGP_Nagaland to verify its authenticity and take appropriate measures.” Patton said ensuring the welfare and safety of the forces was paramount. Responding to Patton’s post, DGP Nagaland Rupin Sharma said, “Already initiated action”.
