Central government nationwide flagship scheme, “Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra” was inaugurated at local ground Wokha village on December 1.
At the launching programme, SDO (Civil) Wokha and district nodal officer Nuhuta Tunyi emphasized on the campaign’s goal of raising awareness about various governmental schemes. He encouraged the public to engage with the departments and highlighted the campaign’s focus on saturating government programmes and Information, Education, and Communication (IEC).
Tunyi stressed on the importance of human resource development over physical infrastructure. He also urged all departments to provide effective services and make the campaign a success. He further stated that the campaign will conclude on January 26, 2024.
Wokha Village Council chairman Vandan Erui thanked the departments and assured that scheme and projects provided to the village will be materialised as per requirements. He said through the Education department, Higher Secondary School at Wokha village was in the offing and through medical department, 12 bedded hospital at Wokha village was also in process.
He further said that with the initiative of the YM Humtsoe MLA and advisor to CM, Dr. Chumben Murry, a badminton stadium will soon be set up in the village. The programme was chaired by BDO Wokha, Albert Patton.
