Village Guards’ Association of Nagaland (VGAN) has announced that all its members will hold a mass prayer on December 3, 2017 (Sunday), at their respective places of worship in their respective church/service timing.
Informing of this in a press release signed by VGAN president, T. A Ngamlao and general secretary, Kiukhenthong, they reminded its members that the Gauhati High Court (Kohima Bench) had passed “the judgment & order” on November 9, and said a copy of the judgment has been sent to all the respective districts through the office bearers. It informed & appealed to all members to take steps to apprise their people, leaders, representatives, etc. for speedy implementation of the order in the interest of justice.
The release said that the prayers will be a “thanksgiving to our almighty God for the justice & blessing he has bestowed upon us” and “prayer for the earliest implementation of the Judgment & Order by our state Government.” It also said that the press release was made with the purpose of reaching all their members nearby and in the border areas.
