Village Health Nutrition Day (VHND) conceptualized under National Health Mission (NHM), to provide provision of preventive and development services to the community through several flagship programmes was at PHC Chessore, Old Sangsomong, New Sangsomong and Yangli villages under Tuensang district on August 28.
In a press release by DMO, NHM Tuensang, Apheang informed that during the VHND, children received BCG, pentavalent, IPV, DPT, JE, Vitamin A, IFA, and calcium tablets. Family Welfare Assistant, Yungmei L Phom, explained about the important roles of Accredited Social Health Activist (ASHA) and Anganwadi Workers to improve the quality of Village Health Nutrition Day (VHND). Block ASHA Coordinator (Longkhim block) Sendonglemla gave a health talked on the importance of immunization.
