Vishal Mega Mart opens first outlet in Mokokchung

Vishal Mega Mart, one of India’s leading value retail chains, marked its entry into Mokokchung with the grand opening of its newest outlet at Yimyu Ward on Friday. The Mart was officially inaugurated by Additional Deputy Commissioner and CEO of Mokokchung Municipal Council (MMC), Atsungba Walling,
Speaking at the inauguration, Walling expressed his delight at the opening, noting that the people of Mokokchung had eagerly awaited the arrival of Vishal Mega Mart for nearly a decade. He congratulated the proprietor, Kilangzulu, for taking the bold step of bringing the retail chain to the town, acknowledging the substantial investment and risk involved in such a venture.
Walling emphasized that Vishal Mega Mart’s presence is well-suited to the needs of Mokokchung, complementing the town’s growing economy and offering a convenient, time-saving “one-stop shop” experience for customers. He concluded his remarks by expressing optimism about the success of the new establishment.
Earlier, the proprietor of the Mokokchung outlet, Kilangzulu delivered the welcome address. Short speeches were delivered by Alemmeren, Chairman of Khensa Village Council, and Watimeren Longchar. The dedicatory prayer was offered by Yimyu Baptist Church, pastor Rev. Puryapang.
