VIT VP Sankar Viswanathan conferred honorary doctorate by Thai University

VIT Vice President Sankar Viswanathan has been conferred with an honorary Doctor of Philosophy degree in Engineering and Technology Management by Rajamangala University of Technology Krungthep (RMUTK), Thailand.
The prestigious honour was awarded following the unanimous approval of the University Council in recognition of his exceptional leadership, professional accomplishments, and significant contributions to the advancement of engineering and technology management.
The degree was presented by Privy Council of Thailand Palakorn Suwanrath and President of RMUTK Dr. Pichai Janmanee. The honorary doctorate represents the highest academic recognition bestowed by the university for distinguished service and professional excellence.
In his acceptance address, Dr. Sankar Viswanathan highlighted the shared cultural and knowledge traditions of India and Thailand and called for enhanced academic collaboration between institutions of the two nations.
The ceremony was attended by G. Viswanathan, Chancellor of VIT, Ramani Balasundaram, Assistant Vice President Kadhambari S. Viswanathan, and Dr. Sravan Krishna, among other dignitaries.
