VK Area GB’s Association (VKAGBA) at the joint meeting with the GBs, land owners union and elders of the area resolved to cooperate with the PWD (NH) and appealed to the department to maintain the National Highway from Doyang Bridge to Izheto Village under VK area during the “transition period”.
In a press release, VKAGBA chairman, Kughaho Assumi informed that the meeting was held on May 28 to discuss on the issue of property damage and land compensation, as it may hamper the progress of the road construction.
As such, Assumi informed that members present at the meeting appreciated the state government to pay land compensation to the landowners. In this connection, the association cautioned that any person or group that create hindrance on the maintenance work or try to breach the peace and tranquility in the area will be viewed with seriousness and the perpetrators will be handed over to the authorities.
Meanwhile, the association appealed to all individuals to refrain from posting on social and print media platform and if necessary will be done collectively.
