Commemorating “Global HandWashing Day”, VK Range Students’ Union (VKRSU) organised a seminar on sanitation and cleanliness in collaboration with DWSM, PHE Zunheboto district division on October 15 with VKRSU president Himahito Labo as chief guest.
The event was sponsored by WSSO department of PHED and held at town hall VK town with around 250 participants, mostly students. The programme was also attended by GBs and chaired by VK Range Students’ Union general secretary, Toino Wokha, welcome address by vice president Vihuka, vote of thanks by statistical secretary, Hukalu Zhimo and invocation by youth pastor Sasta Baptist Church, Kughaje Yeptho.
Demonstration on hand washing was presented by consultant Kiyeshe Chishi and lecture on solid and liquid waste materials was presented by chemist Benathung Tungoe.
