Vocational training centre at Impur Christian hospital was inaugurated by Temjen Toy, Finance Commissioner & Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Nagaland on May 18.
Speaking at the inaugural programme, Temjen Toy said Impur Christian Hospital, apart from the Health Care Centre, was also the spiritual centre for the Aos and neighbouring tribes.
According to an official bulletin, he said that the training centre with a humble beginning today would produce many quality health workers in the future.
Temjen Toy also thanked all the churches and individuals involved in making the training centre a reality. He urged upon all responsible to work together so vocational training centre at Impur could become one of the most successful centres in future. Dr. Sashi, while giving a brief introduction of the training project, said the capacity of trainees would be 25 out of which 19 have enrolled so far. He said the 10-month course training was recognized by the National Vocational Centre of India and on completion of the training, the trainees would have the chance to get employed anywhere in India. ABAM executive secretary Rev. Dr. Mar Atsongchanger offered the dedicatory prayer.
