VP fetes Dr. Mughavi on completion of Parliament Internship

Dr. Mughavi A Tuccu from Satoi Village under Zunheboto district was felicitated by Vice President of India, Jagdeep Dhankhar for completing the Rajya Sabha Internship Programme (RSIP-1) Batch 6 at a valedictory ceremony on April 17, 2025, at the Vice-President’s Enclave.


The programme was an initiative designed by Vice President of India to give first-hand exposure to the functioning of India’s parliamentary democracy in terms of legislative and executive process behind policy making, laws are shaped and passed in parliament.


Dr. Mughavi was assigned to Department -Parliament Standing Committee on Personnel, Public Grievances, Law and Justice to observe the legislative process at close quarters and his research papers were on Issue of Delimitation- Constitutional Provisions, Need of Amendments, Current Challenges, Government Response, Future Road Map and Recommendations.


He was the only representative from North East states out of 32 interns from 11 states of India. Dr Mughavi expressed gratitude Vice President of India, S Phangnon Konyak, MP Rajya Shaba (Nagaland), family and Government of India for the opportunity.
