Western Angami Gazetted Officers Krotho (WAGOK) conducted a seminar under the theme “ the status of the people in the past, present and futuristic vision” on October 2 at Zonal Council Hall, Kohima with Zapuvisie Lhousa, Krurovi Peseyie and Niketu Iralu as the resource persons.
During the seminar, Zapuvisie Lhousa advocated revisiting and re-cultivation of past values, attached to the people and to be different from others in upholding good principles of life. He also appealed the officers to serve any area of posting to get acquainted with its people.
Krurovi Peseyie, spoke on the potentialities of the area and the need to stand firm and not be swayed away by the trend of corruption and non committal attitude towards the society in different aspects of life. He said the peak time of a person is the time when one could do things for others and not for himself. He also spoke on the need to establish good institution in the field of education and medical set up so as to deliver good services to the people.
Niketu Iralu emphasized rebuilding of the society through primary institutions whether social or educational. He advocated the need to establish good primary schools with dedicated teachers which he said was possible and achievable if the people were determined, saying that “we” have to restart from the base. He also said “nothing is possible without people and nothing is permanent without institution”. Earlier the seminar was started with invocation prayer by pastor, Jotsoma Baptist Church, Rev. Zakiebeinyü Peseyie followed by keynote address by advisor, WAGOK V. Meyase.
