Wakching communities hold lamentation programme

The church organizations, students’ unions, councils, GBs and KNSK of Wakching headquarters, Wakching village, Wakching Chingla and Lampong Wakching conducted at lamentation programme at Yongkhülampong on December 6.

In a press release, Wakching Town Students’ Union through its media cell stated that the programme was organised express its sorrow, anguish and vehemently condemn the killing of the innocent civilians by the 21st Para Military Force on December 4 at Oting village, Mon district. 

The release stated that all the educational institutions, business establishments and vehicular movement were banned till 2 pm on Minday.

It urged the Indian government and the State government to investigate the matter at the earliest to deliver justice to the families of the departed souls. The civil communities also appealed the GOI to immediately revoke the Arm Force Special Power Act (AFSPA) from the state.
