Walford area gets new council hall

Advisor of Power department, H. Tovihoto Ayemi on Monday inaugurated the office building of Walford Area Council in Dimapur.
Walford Area consisted of five different Naga colonies inhabited by different Naga tribes and non-Naga communities.
On the occasion, Tovihoto lauded the leaders and public of the five colonies for having one common council and said that such unity and understanding among the residents was an exemplary and prerequisite for the betterment of the society.
The advisor also lauded the effort of the people of Walford area and with their support and cooperation the building could be completed in time.
He said Naga society comprise of many tribes and communities but have lived together since time immemorial and as vibrant society and therefore urged the people to continue with the same trend.
He also stressed on the need to strengthen the women and youth organizations by giving them more opportunities to discharge their due share of responsibility for the welfare of the society.
