Walk against violence organised in Longleng

District administration and Mahila Shakti Kendra-District Level Centre for Women in collaboration with Phomla Hoichem (Phom apex women body) organised a walk against violence in view of the 16 days of activism against gender-based violence at Longleng town on December 7.

Speaking at the programme, Phomla Hoichem president, Chuimei Phom encouraged the gathering to organise such programmes in order to show support and stand against any form of violence against women and girl child.

Brief introduction on the significance of the programme was delivered by Longleng Town Baptist Church women pastor, Niamla Phom.

Women from various churches, wards presidents, youth representatives from various organisations and district administration headed by SDO civil, Longleng participated in the walk. 

The walk ended with a prayer from Ao Baptist Church, Longleng women pastor, Asangla Imchen.
