Walkathon held in Mokokchung under Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan

DIMAPUR: In observance of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA), a district level walkathon on the theme “NMBA: Viksit Bharat ke Pehchaan” was organised in Mokokchung on June 24 to promote a drug free society.
According to DIPR report, Senior Superintendent of Police (Sr. SP) Vesupra Kezo officially flagged off the event, which commenced from the DC’s Office and culminated at Mokokchung Public Ground. A large gathering of local students and district officials participated in the programme.
Addressing the gathering at the Public Ground, Assistant Commissioner and Nodal Officer for NMBA Mokokchung, Dr. Madhavi R, emphasized that the initiative seeks to boost awareness on drug abuse prevention and inspire collective community action. Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Mokokchung, Atsungba Walling, administered the official NMBA pledge to all participants.
The event concluded with a mass signature campaign, reinforcing the community’s commitment to fight substance abuse and uphold a drug free society.
