Wangkhao Government College hosted its annual Literary Day under the theme “Celebrating Conscious Expression,” providing a vibrant platform for students to showcase their intellectual and artistic talents. The event brought together traditional literary genres and modern, sustainability-focused expressions.
According to a press release, the programme was graced by the principal, Wangkhao Government College, Dr. Tialila, who attended as the guest of honour. A special highlight of the occasion was the pre-launch book sale and an exclusive book-signing session for Dr. Tialila’s upcoming poetry collection.
The event witnessed a range of activities across artistic and literary domains. In the traditional arts category, students presented high-quality entries in painting, photography, and essay writing. The performing arts segment included duet and dance performances. A newly introduced segment, “Solo Spotlight,” showcased monologue performances, allowing participants to demonstrate dramatic expression and storytelling depth.
A major highlight of the day was the Sustainable Fashion Show, an innovative collaboration between the Literary Committee and the Eco Club. The segment encouraged students to integrate aesthetics with environmental consciousness, creatively interpreting the theme on the runway.
The festive atmosphere was further enhanced by departmental stalls, where students managed food and exhibition booths, fostering a spirit of community engagement and entrepreneurship.
