Wangpang Konyak launches eye surgery camp at Noklak

DIMAPUR

Advisor Wangpang Konyak, MLA launched a week-long Eye Surgery Camp at PHC Pangsha, Noklak District, on May 29. The camp was organized under the National Action Plan for Senior Citizens (NAPSrC) with support from Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), Mercy Eye Centre Dimapur, and ECS. The initiative attracted patients from various regions, including those from across the border.
In a press release from PA to the MLA, N. Loipang, Konyak also inaugurated the District Program Officer (DPO) Office in Noklak Town and later held an interactive session with the public and district officials at the Deputy Commissioner’s Conference Hall.
During the session, Konyak emphasized the importance of public awareness and active participation in various welfare schemes implemented by the department of social welfare. He called for greater coordination between the department and district administration for effective delivery of services
Acknowledging the infrastructural challenges faced by Noklak as a newly created district, he assured the public of the government of Nagaland’s commitment to equitable development. He also visited local anganwadi centres and interacted with frontline workers to understand ground realities.
