The Ward-1 Youth Organisation under Kohima Municipal Council successfully concluded the 7A Side Futsal League Championship on June 23 at Proturf Sevens Arena, Perizie Colony. The league, which began on May 5, was organised exclusively for executive members with the aim of fostering better mutual understanding among executives.
Seven colonies under Ward-1 participated in the tournament, along with the Lhisemia Youth Organisation (LYO) as a guest team. Zienuobadze Colony emerged as champions, while Kikha-Rüleizou secured the runners-up position. The organisers expressed their appreciation to LYO for sponsoring the prize money.
As part of a post-tournament initiative, the Ward-1 Youth Organisation distributed solar-powered CCTV units to all seven participating colonies to enhance local security measures.
