Western Angami Students’ Union (WASU) would be celebrating its 75th anniversary on January 6 and 7 at Western Angami Public Organization (WAPO) ground, Sechü, Zubza, under the theme “Restrengthening our foundation” to be hosted by Sechü Zubza Students’ Union.
Informing this during a press conference at hotel Lavisto, here Tuesday, WASU officials and Central Organizing Committee (COC) informed that around 2000 students from 11 units of WASU were expected to be part of the celebration.
During the main celebration on January 7, NPF Legislature Party leader and Co-chairman of UDA, Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu, would be the special guest.
On the first day of the celebration, former president of Angami Public Organization, Mhiesizokho Zinyü would be the introductory speaker.
Kohima District Planning & Development Board chairman, Keneizhakho Nakhro MLA will be the chief host.
There will be an extravaganza night in the first night where spectators would be given free entry.
The musical extravaganza will feature Dreamz Unlimited, Meneno Chücha, Kevikhono Mor, Zuchobeni Tungoe, Mengu Suokhrie, Ruokuovinuo Solo, Kedovito Peseyie, Kezhabou Kuosa and Rokovi Khawakhrie.
