Water supply disrupted in Dmu

Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) has informed all the registered consumers at Dimapur town that department was not in a position to supply water because the main pipeline of 300mm diameter conveying water supply to Dimapur town from Chumukedima Water Treatment Plant has been damaged during construction of four-lane works of NH-29.

In a press release, PHED Dimapur urban division executive engineer Vikeduolie stated that process of laying the new pipelines would start once the National Highway levelling works were completed. 

In this regard, the executive engineer has requested consumers of Dimapur town and adjoining areas to bear with the department for the inconvenience caused.
