A National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) accredited district water quality testing laboratory of Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) Peren was inaugurated on April 18 at Peren Town.
According to a DIPR report, speaking at the inaugural programme as the special guest, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Peren, Vekhoyi Chakhesang said the setting up of NABL laboratory in the district would greatly benefit the people in acquiring quality and safe drinking water. He also deliberated on the importance of quality water in day-to-day life.
The gathering was highlighted on NABL by executive engineer PHED Peren division, Moa Naro Imchen (Chemist); the function was presided by Er.Kedipeilung Elunglung; invocation was pronounced by Nzailu; welcome address by Er, Bursenla Ao, and vote of thanks by hygiene and sanitation consultant PHED, Vime.
