DIMAPUR, AUG 8 (NPN): The Nagaland Cricket Association (NCA) has congratulated its president, Watinuksung Jamir, on his appointment as the Team Manager of the Indian cricket team for the upcoming India tour of Sri Lanka Test series 2026.
The Indian team is scheduled to tour Sri Lanka for the Test series from August 7 to 27. The NCA said the appointment was a matter of pride for the association and the cricket fraternity of Nagaland, describing it as recognition of Jamir’s leadership, experience and contribution to the development and promotion of cricket in the state. It further stated that Jamir’s presence with the national team on an international tour marked a significant milestone in his professional journey as well as for Nagaland cricket. According to the NCA, the appointment also reflected the growing recognition of Nagaland and its cricket administrators at the national level.
The association extended its best wishes to Jamir for his new responsibility and expressed hope that he would represent Nagaland with distinction on the international stage.
